Boarding facilities available at Sonshine Acres!


We offer a new ten stall barn. The stalls are 12 x 12 box stalls with 12 x 24 attached runs. We are currently expanding due to demand, and have added three 12 x 40 run with shelters.  There is limited availability in our shared pasture.  Current prices is as follows.  The stalls with attached runs are $225 per month.  The shared pasture is $150 per month.  The shelters with runs will run $210 per month with an early booking discount of $15 per month.

The stalls are cleaned daily. There is heated automatic water in the stalls. The feeders are swing out feeders. We will provide your horse the custom care that you want them to receive. We keep a document posted by your horse stating all special needs, and the care you request. There are additional documents posted in the office stating the specific needs of the horse.   Your horse will receive alfalfa twice daily, and any supplements you provide.   You are welcome to use our facilities to exercise your horse, or we can turn them out for exercise upon request.

An outdoor arena, and round pen is available for your use. The fencing is the heavy oil pipe fencing, so there are no worries of horses getting out of wire fences. There are trainers available for horse training at any level, or for lessons for yourself or your horse. They are also willing to teach you to train your own horse. A new tack room and office are there for your convenience.  There are occasional cookouts, drive-in movies, parades, horse shows, clinics, as well as general visiting and just plain hanging out that occurs on a daily basis.  Best of all, there are caretakers/owners that live on site.

We are conveniently located directly off of

US Highway 85, which is approximately 20 minutes away from Greeley, 30 minutes from Denver, and 45 minutes to Boulder. There are four county fairgrounds within 20 - 30 minutes of our facilities. You are welcome to stop in and take a tour anytime, call to set up your reservation.
