Here are a list of general and horse search engines. All engines listed
are free and easy to submit sites too. If you have a great site but
don't submit your site to search engines, you'll have a hard time getting
visitors.

Here
are some general rules to remember when submitting your site to ensure
it's placed in the search engine:

Make sure it's not listed already: It can annoy site editors.

Don't submit mirror sites: these are sites with different URLS but
the same content
- Don't
submit URLS that will redirect you to a different site.
- Don't
submit sites consisting mainly of links to other sites.

Don't submit incomplete 'under construction' sites.

Use a short description that sums up what you're site's about.

Include relevant keywords.

Don't overrun the title with extra words or descriptions, keep it
relevant.

Don't type in all capital letters.
- DO
NOT TRY TO FOOL SEARCH ENGINES! If you're stuffing your site full
of invisible text, unrelevant keywords, or trying to make pages to
trick search engines, you could get in trouble (it could even get
you banned from the engines).

ODP, the Open Directory
Project This is a great directory to get listed in. Getting listed
here will make your site show up in Google, AOL search, AltaVista,
and HotBot.
Yahoo.com - A
popular search engine.
Yahoo's HORSES Category Quick link to the "horses" category
Submitting to Yahoo: Find the category that your site fits in. Be
sure that's what you want.
