Pet Pointers
To keep a new pet healthy it is important to have them examined by a veterinarian soon after bringing the pet home. Typically the veterinarian will perform a physical exam to be sure your puppy or kitten is healthy. This physical may include a fecal exam to check for intestinal parasites which are a common problem for young animals. These animals will often be vaccinated at this initial visit to their veterinarian. Nursing puppies or kittens acquire immunity to disease causing organisms from their mother’s milk but this immunity gradually starts to wane after weaning, therefore it is vital that a weaned pet receive a series of vaccinations to stimulate their own immune system to protect them against the disease causing organisms that may be in their environment. Your veterinarian can recommend a vaccination protocol that affords the best protection for your pet considering the lifestyle and environment in which the pet lives. About Us: Rocking MR is a small family owned and operated farm located near Perry and Orlando, Oklahoma. Making a home here since 1996, we raise registered Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s, along with a few of our own horses. In addition to the enjoyment of our horses for team roping and barrel racing, we have been involved with raising Corgi’s since the addition of our first Corgi to our home in 1999. Our litters come from a pedigree of beautiful and intelligent, AKC registered Corgi's. We pride ourselves on raising exceptional litters to make happy homes. We do not sell to wholesale brokers, petshops or to those who may sell to these places. We don't want our dogs to end up in kennels or situations where they are not a part of a loving family. Therefore, we only raise a litter a year as requested, and we realize there are many dogs available to be adopted or rescued. However, for those of you who are interested in the pure bred dog, we aim to please in the Pembroke Corgi breed. We like to stay in touch with our previous owners regularly if possible. We don't raise and sell our dogs for profit only, we do it because we love the breed and hope to gain friends along the way. So if you are interested in a companion to be a part of your family, we would like to welcome you to our Corgi Family, where we plan to share the joy and happiness these dogs bring along with you.
