Notice to my customers, friends, and visitors:

Some of you are in the horse business, and some of you are not, but for those of you who are not, please make note of the following policy.  I offer horses for sale and usually have at least one for sale at all times. I spend many hours a week on the computer responding to your inquiries and chatting with you!  Some people will email or call me and inform me they are going to come visit a horse or they are "definately" buying a horse...check's in the mail!  Sometimes the check shows up and sometimes it doesn't.  In the past, I've held a horse back waiting for the check to arrive only to find it is not ever going to get here, and sometimes I have found I've sold a horse when someone out there was totally in love with it and had every intention of sending the check.  Either way, someone is the loser.  In order to avoid hurting someone's feelings or losing a potential sale, let me post here our policy is now going to be that no horse is considered sold until the deposit is received and the contract signed, and even then the status will change to "sale pending" or "under contract".   Horses are considered sold when they are paid in full and leave the farm.  I hope this policy will help us work together and prevent any hurt feelings on anyone's part.  Thank you for your understanding...  Darlene
