INDIAN SPRING RANCH is situated among the rolling hills of Cass County
in Northeast Texas about 10 miles from the Northwest corner of Louisiana
and the Southwest corner of Arkansas. This area was inhabited by the Caddo
Indian Tribe until the mid 1800s. Near the center of the ranch is an artisian
spring of cold, clear water that no doubt provided a perfect camping and
hunting site for the Indians. We have found several arrowheads on this
land as evidence that Indians hunted here.
We were raising Quarter horses until 2000 when we got excited about the
beauty of American Paint Horse. The quarter horse stallion was sold in
2002 so we still have a few two years and older. We bought a black and
white homozygous tobiano stallion named Flying Shot N Sparks, we call
him "Big Shot". He is the son of a two-time reserve world champion
roping horse Shots Flying Spark. Our primary objective is raising good quality performance
bred horses we can sell at a reasonable price. We have about 20 beautiful
paint foals per year from our quarter horse and paint mares. Some of the
2003 yearlings are pictured at the top of this page.
Here are a few pics from our last ride on 2-11-06. All paints pictured are listed in on this web site
